Scared Cube

Scared Cube is a small cubical robot that tries to stay away from any person and walls as far as possible. Its form is very artificial and its programmed behaviour is very restrained. Yet by keeping its distance to the visitors, the cube evokes in them the reflex and wish to catch it. This kind of interaction is not what one expects from a machine but it raises associations rather reserved to living beings. People start to transcribe emotions and feelings to the „little thing“ and to perceive its actions as those of an actual frightened and shy creature.
